Do you need support to explore an idea or solution to improve health care?
In partnership with donors, NYGH, and the North York General Foundation, the North York General Hospital Exploration Fund can help turn your idea into reality. All staff, physicians, and other health professionals at NYGH are encouraged to apply.
To make it easier to start a project, applicants are invited to request access to an existing Research Coordinator as an alternative to hiring an individual. Feedback on this new model is welcome.
Up to $5,000, plus up to 150 hours of access to an existing Research Coordinator.
Applications are evaluated on the following criteria:
- How significant is the problem being addressed?
- How effectively does the idea/solution address the identified problem?
- Does the project have clearly defined goals?
- Is it feasible?
Most important is the expected outcome, whether it is a presentation or other public demonstration of impact, peer-reviewed journal publication, or application for follow-on funding from a source outside NYGH.
As they develop the proposal, applicants are encouraged to contact Romina Ponzielli at firstname.lastname@example.org.
