Assessment and Wellness Centre

The North York General Assessment and Wellness Centre (AWC) in Toronto provides expert third party assessments in all medical and surgical specialties as well as comprehensive physiotherapy care.

Ethics Services

At North York General Hospital, Ethics Services supports our commitment to provide patient- and family-centred care. The ethicists offer ethics educational rounds and consultation services for patients, families, staff, and physicians who want help making difficult ethical decisions. This consultation service is offered in a supportive and advisory manner. 

Infection Prevention and Control

The safety of our patients is very important to us. The goal of our Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) program is to identify and reduce the risk of hospital-acquired infections.

Interpretation Services

North York General Hospital (NYGH) serves a diverse community of over 400,000 residents in north central Toronto and beyond. Patient Experience Office

The Patient Experience Office provides patients and families with a supportive opportunity to provide feedback about your experiences at NYGH including compliments, concerns, questions and suggestions. 

Pharmacy 

Our outpatient Pharmacy (drug store) at the General site is owned and operated by North York General Hospital. Drop by for fast and friendly service for your prescription needs or browse through our selection of health and wellness products. Pharmacy Services provides pharmaceutical care and safe medication practices through its outpatient and inpatient services.

Privacy Office

Privacy compliance at North York General Hospital is facilitated by our Chief Privacy Officer (CPO). The CPO develops privacy and data protection policies and provides training and direction in the practical application of privacy law to collection, use, disclosure and protection of personal and personal health information. Spiritual and Religious Care

Spiritual and Religious Care coordinates and provides emotional and spiritual support, as well as counselling, to people of every belief and value system. We offer a wide variety of services to patients, residents of the Seniors' Health Centre, and their families in an open, honest and non-judgmental environment.
