The hospital offers a wide range of acute care, ambulatory and long-term care services across multiple sites: General site, Phillips House, Branson Ambulatory Care Centre, Seniors’ Health Centre, and the Reactivation Care Centre - Finch Site.

The hospital is seeking to recruit new Board and Community members who will reflect the hospital’s needs and aspirations with respect to knowledge, attributes, competencies and experience. Competencies provide the foundation for the Board composition.
We are looking to attract Board candidates who possess a complementary combination of skills and attributes including governance and strategic planning experience, leadership, as well as an appreciation for the role that diversity plays in delivering excellent care in a community setting. Above all, Board and Community members display the drive to contribute to the governance of NYGH, with demonstrated commitment to the community through participation in community endeavours, whether as a Board member or a volunteer.
In addition to these core professional competencies, we are looking for candidates with deep experience in:
- Chartered Accountant with experience in multi partnerships, mergers and acquisitions
- Health quality improvement and safety
- Human resources and labour relations
- Personal experience with hospital-related care as a patient, caregiver, or family member
