Accreditation On-Site Survey Starting October 25
North York General Hospital (NYGH) strives to provide safe care to all patients. One way to help us achieve this goal is to review how we deliver care through a voluntary survey with Accreditation Canada. Accreditation Canada is a not-for-profit, independent organization providing hospitals with an external peer review process for more than 50 years.
Participating in the Accreditation process allows our organization to assess and improve the services we provide to our patients based on standards of excellence and best practice.
From October 25 – 29, “Surveyors” from Accreditation Canada will be at NYGH to see how care delivered throughout the hospital. These surveyors are national experts on quality and patient safety in health care. Although surveyors are only on site every four years, quality improvement work is constant.
