The new system called “ARIEL” stands for Advanced Research and Innovation Ethics and Logistics. With the same look and feel as the one used by Clinical Trials Ontario (CTO), ARIEL is cloud-based to streamline all phases of the REB application process – from submission to review, renewal, and closure. It will make processes smoother for researchers who are seeking REB approval and volunteer REB members who ensure that each study meets the highest ethical standards.
Only online submissions through ARIEL will be accepted (no paper form) moving forward.
