Upcoming Conferences and Courses

Upcoming Conferences graphicNorth York General Hospital is committed to continuing education and professional development, through provision of education events and conferences for physicians and health professionals locally and nationally.

Courses
These courses are offered on a regular basis throughout the year; dates will be included when available.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) introduces advanced health care practitioners to diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for the acute cardiac patient through case-based learning. The course is designed for those in the health care field who require or are interested in knowledge of advanced acute cardiac care and resuscitation.

CASTED is a series of "hands-on" orthopedic courses. Each course combines case-based lectures with extensive "hands-on'" practice. By focusing on high-yield clinical pearls, CASTED improves your assessment and management skills, helps you identify "red flag" patients, and increases your confidence with important procedures.

Interprofessional Education Programs in Palliative Care are offered by the Freeman Centre for the Advancement of Palliative Care.
