The award, presented by the Centre for Faculty Development (a partnership between the University of Toronto and St. Michael's Hospital), recognizes Dr. Hutchinson's great work in developing the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LInC) at North York General Hospital.

Prior to 2015, the hospital only offered the traditional block clerkships where medical students practised one discipline at a time. In fall 2015, thanks to Dr. Hutchinson's efforts, North York General joined the University of Toronto's pilot LInC program that allows students to study multiple disciplines simultaneously.

Dr. Hutchinson is a Paediatrician in NYGH's Child and Teen Program.
