How to Get Here

Maternal, newborn and paediatric care is a clinical priority at North York General Hospital and our obstetrical centre in Toronto is the second largest single site birthing centre in Ontario. We are committed to offering the over 5,700 babies born here each year the healthiest start in life.

We recognize that birth is a special life event and a time for positive self-growth. Birth and parenting occur with greater ease, comfort and health when women and their supporters enter into their new roles with increased knowledge.

As health care professionals, we have the responsibility not only to provide care, but also to ensure that resources are available to meet your needs. We respect your ability and your right to make sound health decisions. Our hope is that you will find these webpages a useful tool as you embark on your journey through pregnancy and birth. Please read it carefully and ask your health care provider questions.
