Our People and Culture foundation will help us achieve our vision by:
 
  • Nurturing a patient- and family-centred culture throughout our organization
  • Fostering a healthy culture of curiosity, inclusion and service excellence that motivates our people
To achieve these goals by 2018, we will:
 

1.  Advance the organization's culture by:

  • Regularly surveying staff, physicians and volunteers to identify areas of improvement
  • Increasing our focus on the wellbeing of our people and building an inclusive culture
  • Increasing opportunities for professional development and academic activity
  • Furthering our leadership development and capacity for creativity and innovation
2.  Provide our people with comprehensive patient- and family-centred care education by:
  • Fostering patient- and family centred-care practices across the organization
  • Improving the way we deliver care in collaboration with Patient and Family Advisors
  • Ensuring patient- and family-centred care initiatives align with our strategy and are sustainable
3.  Grow the culture and practice of service excellence across the organization by:
  • Implementing the Cleveland Clinic's “Communicate with HEART” Service Excellence Program
