Do you have a research or innovation idea that will improve the patient experience, advance organizational excellence, or create relevant new knowledge in the delivery of health care? The North York General Hospital Exploration Fund could help turn this idea into a reality.
Designed to build on our Academic Foundation, the NYGH Exploration Fund supports staff and physicians as they create and study new and better ways to meet the growing needs of our community. Supported through a partnership between philanthropic supporters, NYGH, and the North York General Foundation, this fund marks a new and exciting phase in research and innovation at our hospital. All staff and physicians are encouraged to apply and any application will receive careful consideration.
The Sellors Family Research Grant, a designated time-limited fund within the Exploration Fund is also accepting applications for research in the areas of: Autoimmune disease, Neurology, Quality of Life.
The Savlov Family Paediatric Endowment Fund supports clinical research and educational pursuits in paediatric care across all disciplines and departments at NYGH.
Grants up to $50,000 will be considered (grants under $7,500 and grants between $7,500-$50,000 will be considered separately). Proposals are judged on the scientific merit, the innovative spirit, the novel concept or the potential innovation that can result from the project. Successful submissions will be required to receive approval from the hospital's Research Ethics Board either before or after the application deadline for grants, if required.
For research projects, an expected outcome will be a publication in a peer-reviewed journal. For innovation projects, an expected outcome could be a publication and/or a demonstration of potential impact. For more information, please see the application form.
Please note that the deadline for entries is Friday, October 28, 2016.
