Our Locations

North York General Hospital is a three-site community teaching hospital in Toronto that includes our General site, Branson Ambulatory Care Centre and the Seniors' Health Centre.  We serve north central Toronto and southern York region. Our regional programs serve all of south central Ontario.

Our largest facility, the General site, offers a full range of services to patients of all ages, from the most fragile infants to the elderly. All inpatient acute care services are located at the General site.
 
Our 24-hour full service Charlotte & Lewis Steinberg Emergency, is one of Canada's busiest emergency departments. More on clinical services at the General site.

Branson Ambulatory Care Centre

Branson Ambulatory Care Centre, North York General Hospital Our Branson Ambulatory Care Centre offers a wide variety of outpatient services including medical imaging as well as mental health for children, teens and adults.
In collaboration with partner hospitals, the Branson Ambulatory Care Centre is also home to the Gale and Graham Wright Prostate Centre, Cataract High Volume Centre.

The Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP), a provincial program providing high quality early detection breast cancer screening to women is also here. More on clinical services at the Branson Ambulatory Care Centre.

NOTE:  The Urgent Care Centre closed June 1, 2017. Learn more.
 As of June 1, 2017, the Total Joint Assessment Centre is located at the General site.

Seniors' Health Centre

The Seniors' Health Centre is the hub of services for seniors at North York General.
 
Seniors' Health Centre, North York General Hospital
The Seniors' Health Centre includes a 192-bed long-term care home  and specialized geriatric services.
 
The primary focus of the Specialized Geriatric Services is to help seniors living in our community to maintain their sense of dignity and independence through improved health and quality of life.

On-site specialized geriatric services include medicine clinics, geriatric psychiatry clinics and outreach, day hospital, POWER and Building the Bridge to Better Bones programs for osteoporosis. The Memory Clinic, Living Well with Parkinson's Program and Chronic Disease Self-Management Program are also located at the Seniors' Health Centre. Read a description of the Elder Care Clinics.
